# Clean and shape data in Mammoth

> Clean, reshape and combine data in a Mammoth View with a no-code pipeline: filter rows, fix values, add columns, calculate, join and pivot.

You clean data in Mammoth by adding tasks to a View's pipeline: an ordered list of steps that filter, fix, calculate, reshape and combine your rows. Click **Describe your transformation** (or the blue **+**) in any View to add one. Tasks re-run every time the data refreshes, so you build the steps once.

Changing how a column looks (its name, format, order or visibility) is a Display Change. It never alters the data or adds a task. See [Rename, format and sort columns](https://mammoth.io/docs/learn/clean-and-shape/rename-format-sort/).
