# Manage your Mammoth workspace, team and plan

> Run a Mammoth workspace: create or join one, invite people, set roles and custom roles, manage projects, API keys, AI Agent access, billing and security.

A workspace is your own space in Mammoth. It holds your projects, data, team, plan, billing and settings, kept apart from every other workspace. You manage it from **Workspace Settings** at the bottom of the left sidebar; most controls there are for Workspace Owners, and Workspace Members see the same pages with fewer controls.

## What a workspace holds

Each workspace has:

- **Its own data**: datasets, projects and pipelines are separate from other workspaces.
- **Its own people**: each workspace manages its own members and roles.
- **Its own billing**: each workspace has its own plan.
- **Its own settings**: changes in one workspace don't affect other workspaces you own.

## Workspace Owner and Workspace Member

| Role | What they can do |
| --- | --- |
| **Workspace Owner** | Full control: delete the workspace, invite users, manage plans, open all settings, manage projects |
| **Workspace Member** | Works in the projects they're added to and can create projects. What they can do inside a project depends on their project role |

## The life of a workspace

1. Sign up, or accept an invite.
2. Choose a plan, if Mammoth asks.
3. Check the settings.
4. Invite your team.
5. Start working: upload data and create projects.
6. Change plan when you need to.
7. Delete the workspace. On paid plans, deletion is scheduled, and you can reactivate before the access-until date.
