Gong's MCP server gives your assistant Gong's own AI answers about one account or deal, and writes briefs. It's read-only and doesn't return raw transcripts or emails. A tech admin turns it on, and it's on any Gong plan.

Common questions about Gong MCP

Is there an official Gong MCP server?
Yes. Gong's MCP server gives your assistant Gong's own AI answers about one account or deal, and writes briefs. It's read-only and doesn't return raw transcripts or emails. A tech admin turns it on, and it's on any Gong plan. Use it to work inside Gong. Use Mammoth to ask questions across Gong and your other data.
Does Gong's MCP server give my assistant call transcripts?
No. It returns Gong's summarised answers about accounts and deals, not raw transcripts, emails or activity lists. Private calls are left out.
How does my assistant get to my Gong data?
You connect Gong to Mammoth once. Mammoth keeps a copy of the data and updates it on demand or on a schedule. Your assistant asks Mammoth, not Gong.
Are the numbers right?
Yes. Mammoth calculates totals, counts and averages itself and gives your assistant the result. The AI model doesn't add up the rows.
Which AI assistants work with it?
Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, ChatGPT, and VS Code. Cursor can't sign in yet, so use the Mammoth CLI there.
What does it cost?
The MCP server is on every Mammoth plan, including Free. Connecting Gong needs a paid plan.
Do I paste a password or API key into the chat?
No. You connect Gong inside Mammoth and sign in to Mammoth from your assistant. No password passes through the model.
Can my assistant change things by mistake?
Every tool is labelled as read-only, a change you can undo, or one that deletes or sends data out. You can set your assistant to ask you before it uses anything that isn't read-only.
