How it's counted

Three kinds of connection

Files and standard databases are unlimited on every plan. Only SaaS apps, APIs and cloud warehouses count as premium connections.

Standard connections

Files, spreadsheets and the common databases: CSV, Excel, Sheets, JSON, URL, webhooks, MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server.

On every plan, including Free

Premium connections

SaaS apps, APIs and cloud warehouses. Each source counts as one connection no matter how many tables you read from it.

Custom connectors

No native connector? AI builds one and validates it against your live data. On Enterprise we build and support it for you.

Connection questions

What counts as one connection?
A source. If you connect Salesforce and read fifteen objects from it, that's one connection, not fifteen. Files and standard databases don't count against the premium connection allowance at all.
What if my source isn't listed?
AI builds a connector for it and validates the result against your live data before it goes into a pipeline. On Enterprise, we build and maintain a custom connector for you, typically within about a week.
Can it read from behind our firewall?
Yes. SFTP drops and webhook ingestion cover most cases without opening a database to the internet, and Enterprise deployments support private cloud and IP allowlisting.
Does it write data back out?
Yes. Export destinations send prepared results to SFTP or a database. One destination on Starter, more on Pro and Enterprise, so Mammoth can sit in the middle of an existing pipeline.
How often does it pull new data?
Manual on Free, daily on Starter, hourly on Pro, and event-driven on Enterprise, running the moment a supplier file lands.

Files work in seconds. Databases and SaaS apps take a couple of minutes and a set of credentials.
