Salesforce MCP

Salesforce MCP: ask Claude or ChatGPT about your Salesforce opportunities.

Connect Salesforce to Mammoth, then add Mammoth to Claude or ChatGPT. Ask about pipeline by stage, revenue won and deal size by region in plain words. Mammoth calculates the answer, so the numbers are exact.

Your two options

Two ways to connect Salesforce to your AI assistant

Mammoth answers questions about Salesforce and your other data. Salesforce's own server works inside Salesforce. You can add both to the same assistant.

Option 1

Mammoth

Ask about Salesforce and your other data. Mammoth calculates the answer, so the numbers are exact. Included on every plan.

You ask
“How much revenue did we close each quarter this year?”
Option 2

Salesforce's own server

Runs on Salesforce's own platform. A Salesforce admin sets it up first.

You ask
“Show me the open opportunities for Acme.”

Option 1 · Mammoth

What you can ask about your Salesforce opportunities

Pick a question to see what your assistant gets back.

More questions, by team

Pick your team, then copy a question into Claude or ChatGPT.

ClaudeChatGPTVS Code
  • How much closed-won revenue did each rep bring in this quarter?
  • How many opportunities did we create each month, by lead source?
  • What's the average deal size by industry?
  • How much pipeline is set to close next month, by stage?

Copy a question and paste it into your assistant once Mammoth is connected.

Option 1 · Mammoth

Ask about Salesforce and your other data together

Connect Salesforce and any of Mammoth’s 100+ other sources, like Stripe, Jira or HubSpot. Join them once in Mammoth, and your assistant can answer questions that cover all of them.

Example: Salesforce with Stripe

Which lead sources bring the customers who pay us the most?

Salesforce holds the lead sources and Stripe holds the payments. Mammoth matches them on the customer.

Option 2 · Salesforce's own server

How to set up the official Salesforce MCP server

Salesforce runs its own MCP servers, available since April 2026. A Salesforce admin turns them on.

  1. Step 1

    Turn on a server

A Salesforce admin activates a hosted MCP server in Setup, on the MCP Servers page.

  2. Step 2

    Create an app for it

The admin creates an External Client App, which gives you a consumer key.

  3. Step 3

    Add it to Claude

Add a custom connector with the server's URL and that key, then sign in to Salesforce.

Common questions about Salesforce MCP

Is there an official Salesforce MCP server?
Yes. Salesforce runs its own MCP servers, available since April 2026. A Salesforce admin turns them on. Use it to work inside Salesforce. Use Mammoth to ask questions across Salesforce and your other data.
How do I turn on Salesforce's MCP server?
A Salesforce admin activates it in Setup on the MCP Servers page, then creates an External Client App for the connection. Salesforce's setup guide has the steps.
How does my assistant get to my Salesforce data?
You connect Salesforce to Mammoth once. Mammoth keeps a copy of the data and updates it on demand or on a schedule. Your assistant asks Mammoth, not Salesforce.
Are the numbers right?
Yes. Mammoth calculates totals, counts and averages itself and gives your assistant the result. The AI model doesn't add up the rows.
Which AI assistants work with it?
Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, ChatGPT, and VS Code. Cursor can't sign in yet, so use the Mammoth CLI there.
What does it cost?
The MCP server is on every Mammoth plan, including Free. Connecting Salesforce needs a paid plan.
Do I paste a password or API key into the chat?
No. You connect Salesforce inside Mammoth and sign in to Mammoth from your assistant. No password passes through the model.
Can my assistant change things by mistake?
Every tool is labelled as read-only, a change you can undo, or one that deletes or sends data out. You can set your assistant to ask you before it uses anything that isn't read-only.

Ask your AI assistant about your Salesforce opportunities.
