NetSuite's AI Connector Service lets your assistant query NetSuite in plain English, run reports and saved searches, and create and update records. It's free, but it won't run with an Administrator role.

Step 1
Turn on the features
Enable Server SuiteScript, OAuth 2.0 and REST Web Services, then install the free MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp.
Step 2
Set up a role
Use a role with the MCP Server Connection and OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens permissions. Administrator roles don't work.

Common questions about NetSuite MCP

Is there an official NetSuite MCP server?

Yes. NetSuite's AI Connector Service lets your assistant query NetSuite in plain English, run reports and saved searches, and create and update records. It's free, but it won't run with an Administrator role. Use it to work inside NetSuite. Use Mammoth to ask questions across NetSuite and your other data.

Does NetSuite's AI Connector Service cost extra?

No. NetSuite says the AI Connector Service isn't a paid feature, and the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp is free. Your AI assistant may need a paid plan of its own.

How does my assistant get to my NetSuite data?

You connect NetSuite to Mammoth once. Mammoth keeps a copy of the data and updates it on demand or on a schedule. Your assistant asks Mammoth, not NetSuite.

Are the numbers right?

Yes. Mammoth calculates totals, counts and averages itself and gives your assistant the result. The AI model doesn't add up the rows.

Which AI assistants work with it?

Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, ChatGPT, and VS Code. Cursor can't sign in yet, so use the Mammoth CLI there.

What does it cost?

The MCP server is on every Mammoth plan, including Free. Connecting NetSuite needs a paid plan.

Do I paste a password or API key into the chat?

No. You connect NetSuite inside Mammoth and sign in to Mammoth from your assistant. No password passes through the model.

Can my assistant change things by mistake?

Every tool is labelled as read-only, a change you can undo, or one that deletes or sends data out. You can set your assistant to ask you before it uses anything that isn't read-only.
