The 12 Best Embedded Analytics Tools in 2026

Twelve embedded analytics tools compared on how they embed, who has to build it, and the part most comparisons skip: how each one counts the people looking at your dashboards.

Embed live dashboards for your clients. Viewers are free on every plan.

Embedded analytics tools put live charts and dashboards inside a product, portal or website your customers already use, so they never open a separate reporting tool. The twelve below all do that. They differ in three ways that decide the bill: who has to build the integration, how the dashboards are made, and how the vendor counts the people looking at them.

Every price and feature on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page and documentation on 16 October 2026. Links are in the References at the end.

The short answer

The best embedded analytics tool depends on who builds it. A SaaS engineering team building analytics into its product is best served by a developer platform such as Luzmo (from €1,995 a month), Sisense, Embeddable or Reveal. A team already on Power BI or Tableau should price that vendor's embedded edition. An agency or operations team sharing dashboards with clients can use Mammoth, where embedding is on every plan and viewers are free. Only four of the twelve publish a production price.

The best embedded analytics tools

  • 1. Mammoth for client-facing dashboards with little developer work
  • 2. Power BI Embedded for teams already on Microsoft and Azure
  • 3. Tableau Embedded Analytics for teams already standardised on Tableau
  • 4. Looker for companies on Google Cloud with a modelled data layer
  • 5. Metabase for an open-source start with a published price list
  • 6. Sisense for front-end teams composing analytics in code
  • 7. Luzmo for SaaS teams that want one published plan
  • 8. ThoughtSpot Embedded for natural-language search inside an app
  • 9. GoodData for many tenants with separate workspaces
  • 10. Qrvey for SaaS teams that want it in their own cloud account
  • 11. Embeddable for developers who want the components in their own repo
  • 12. Reveal for .NET, Java or Node teams that want a native SDK

What makes the best embedded analytics tool?

Five questions, roughly in the order they will cost you money.

  • Who has to build it. Most of this list is a developer platform: an SDK, components to compose, a backend service that signs tokens. That is the right shape for a SaaS engineering team and the wrong one for an agency or an operations team with no developer to spare.

  • How the vendor counts a viewer. Per seat, per monthly active user, per analytical impression, per tenant workspace, per hour of server capacity, or a flat rate. This decides whether your bill doubles when your customer base does. It is also the question vendor pages answer least clearly, so it gets its own section below.

  • Whether each customer sees only their own data. This is called row-level security: one dashboard, filtered so each viewer sees only the rows that belong to them. Every tool here supports it on at least one plan. What differs is how: a value in a signed token, a separate workspace per customer, or roles defined in the BI tool.

  • What runs on your infrastructure. Some tools are fully hosted. Others need a server SDK in your backend, or run as containers in your own cloud account. That is control for some teams and an operations burden for others.

  • Whether the vendor's name shows. White-labelling ranges from included on every plan to a higher-tier feature.

How we compared these. We read each vendor's pricing page and embedding documentation on 16 October 2026, and quote prices only where the vendor publishes them. We did not run the twelve side by side on one dataset, so nothing here is a verdict on chart quality or speed. The numbers are not scores: the list runs from the least technical setup to the most, and Mammoth Analytics, our product, sits first as the publisher.

A few terms, in plain words. An iframe is a window on your page that shows another site's content. An SDK is a code library your developers install, and a web component is a ready-made page element they drop in. A signed token is a short-lived pass your server issues, saying who the viewer is. A tenant is one of your customers, kept separate from the others.

Best for client-facing dashboards with little developer work

1. Mammoth

Mammoth pros:

  • Embedding on every plan, including Free, in three modes
  • Viewers are never counted or charged, on any plan
  • No developer needed for a public link or an embed key, only a pasted snippet
  • The data is cleaned and joined in the same product that publishes the dashboard

Mammoth cons:

  • Embeds dashboards made in Mammoth, not a component library for composing charts in your own code
  • Showing each client only their own rows needs the Pro plan, and a developer to add one small endpoint that signs tokens
  • Free and Starter dashboards carry a small "Built with Mammoth" footer

Mammoth Analytics is our product, so weigh this entry accordingly.

Mammoth is built for a different reader from most of this list. The developer platforms below assume an engineering team building analytics into a SaaS product. Mammoth assumes an agency, a consultancy or an operations team that needs a live dashboard inside a client portal or website, and has nobody to write an integration.

You build the dashboard in Mammoth and choose how it embeds. A public link frames on any page you allow. An embed key keeps the dashboard private while letting your own pages show it. A signed token is for per-client data: your app signs a short-lived token naming the client, Mammoth filters the rows before anything is drawn, and a token without a client value gets no rows at all.

You can limit a dashboard to a list of up to 20 sites, embed a single chart on its own, set light or dark and an accent colour, and drive the filters from your page with a small script. The embed settings show which sites have loaded each dashboard.

The cost model is the main difference. There is no capacity to rent and no viewer to license: a portal used by a thousand people costs the same as one used by ten. Embedded analytics in Mammoth walks through all three modes.

PlanPer month, billed annuallyBilled monthlyBuilders
Free$0$01 builder
Starter$39/month$49/month2 builders
Team$149/month$189/month5 builders
Pro$499/month$629/month15 builders
EnterpriseFrom $5,000/monthAnnual onlyUnlimited

Viewers are free and unlimited on every plan, because only builders count. Storage is a separate axis: every paid plan includes 10 GB, and more costs the same on any plan (+$100/month for 50 GB, +$300/month for 250 GB, +$800/month for 1 TB, billed annually). Free holds 1 GB. Every account starts with 14 days of Pro, no credit card.

Mammoth pricing: Free plan available, with embedding included. Per-client rows need the Pro plan at $499/month billed annually. Viewers are free on every plan.

Embed a live dashboard in your client portal. Embedding is on every plan and viewers are free.

Best embedded analytics for teams on Microsoft

2. Power BI Embedded

Power BI Embedded pros:

  • Your existing Power BI reports and models carry over
  • Customers viewing reports inside your app need no Power BI licence
  • Billed by the hour with no commitment, and can be paused

Power BI Embedded cons:

  • Everyone who publishes needs a Power BI Pro licence, at $14 a user a month
  • Pausing the capacity takes the reports offline
  • Built with SDKs and embed tokens, so it needs a developer

Power BI Embedded rents Azure capacity by the node. The smallest, an A1 with one virtual core and 3 GB of memory, costs $1.0081 an hour in Central US, which is $735.91 a month if it never stops. Sizes run up to an A6 at $32.2506 an hour.

Microsoft licenses viewers by who they are. Your customers, viewing reports inside your app, need no licence. Your own staff are different: each one needs a Pro or Premium Per User licence, unless you buy a large Fabric capacity (F64 or above). Production use needs a purchased capacity; until then, embedded reports show a "Free trial version" banner.

Every node size, the licences and two worked monthly bills are in our Power BI Embedded pricing breakdown.

Power BI Embedded pricing: From $1.0081 an hour (A1, Central US), plus $14 a month for each publisher's Power BI Pro licence.

Best embedded analytics for teams already on Tableau

3. Tableau Embedded Analytics

Tableau Embedded Analytics pros:

  • The same Tableau visualisations, embedded with web components
  • Row-level security from user attributes passed in a signed token
  • Viewers outside your company are licensed by usage, not by seat

Tableau Embedded Analytics cons:

  • No published price; the product page sends you to sales
  • Embedded licences cannot share an environment with full-use Tableau licences
  • Usage viewers must be people outside your organisation

Tableau embeds through its Embedding API, which places a ready-made Tableau element in your page. Per-customer data comes from details about each viewer carried in a signed token. Tableau's documentation notes some limits on where that works in Tableau Cloud.

The licensing model is distinctive. External viewers are "Usage Viewers", licensed by analytical impressions rather than per person, while the people who build stay on Creator and Explorer seats. It is a limited-use licence for Tableau Cloud and has to live in its own environment.

Tableau Embedded Analytics pricing: Not published. The product page offers "Contact sales".

Best embedded analytics on Google Cloud

4. Looker

Looker pros:

  • A governed data model (written in Looker's own language, LookML) behind every embedded chart
  • Signed embedding with per-user attributes for row-level control
  • The Embed edition includes up to 500,000 query-based API calls a month

Looker cons:

  • Signed embedding requires the Embed edition, on an annual commitment
  • No published price; every edition says "Call sales"
  • Needs a backend service to sign embed URLs, and someone who writes LookML

Looker embeds through a signed iframe, directly or with its Embed SDK. Each embedded user arrives with an external user id and attributes in the signed URL, which Looker uses to decide what they can see. Custom themes for embedded dashboards are available on the Enterprise and Embed editions.

Looker suits companies whose data is already modelled in LookML on Google Cloud. Without that layer, there is a lot to build before the first embedded chart.

Looker pricing: Not published. Editions are annual, each with a platform fee that includes 10 Standard and 2 Developer users.

Best open-source embedded analytics

5. Metabase

Metabase pros:

  • An open-source edition that is free with unlimited users
  • The only third-party tool here with a complete published price list
  • Several ways in: web components, a React SDK, or a full-app iframe

Metabase cons:

  • Embedded people with accounts count as billed users on paid plans
  • SSO embedding and appearance customisation need Pro or Enterprise
  • Guest embeds drop drill-through, the query builder and the SQL editor

Metabase is the easiest place to start if you want to see what embedding costs before talking to anyone. Starter is $100 a month with 5 users, then $6 a user; Pro is $575 a month with 10 users, then $12 a user; Enterprise starts at $20,000 a year. Yearly billing is cheaper.

The detail to read closely is how viewers are counted. Metabase's documentation says accounts for embedded people count toward the accounts billed in your plan.

So a portal where 200 client users each sign in through single sign-on embedding needs Pro. At monthly prices that is $575 plus 190 extra users at $12, or $2,855 a month. That is the price of the fully interactive route.

Metabase's guest embeds take a different route. They pass each client's filter values in a signed token and create no accounts, but they drop drill-through, the query builder and the SQL editor.

Metabase pricing: Open source free. Starter $100 a month, Pro $575 a month, Enterprise from $20,000 a year.

Best embedded analytics for front-end teams

6. Sisense

Sisense pros:

  • Compose SDK components for React, Angular, Vue and TypeScript
  • Row-level security and a multi-tenant architecture
  • White-labelling that replaces the Sisense name and logo

Sisense cons:

  • No published price
  • White-labelling is limited to the Grow and Scale tiers
  • The SDK assumes front-end developers and a Sisense instance

Sisense now positions itself as an embedded analytics platform, and its Compose SDK is the main route in: install components from npm and compose charts inside your own application, with iframe embedding still available. Its quickstart requires a Sisense instance, an access token, some web-server configuration and "familiarity with front-end web development".

That makes Sisense a fit for a product team that wants analytics to look and behave like the rest of its code, and a poor fit for anyone without front-end developers.

Sisense pricing: Not published. Enterprise via "Talk to us", with a self-serve option to try.

Best embedded analytics with one published plan

7. Luzmo

Luzmo pros:

  • One plan with a published starting price
  • White-labelling included
  • Iframe, web component and SDK support for React, Vue and Angular

Luzmo cons:

  • Starts at €1,995 a month, billed annually, with no smaller tier
  • Usage-based elements on top of the platform fee
  • Built for developers embedding into a SaaS product

Luzmo (formerly Cumul.io) sells one plan, "Embedded Everywhere", starting at €1,995 a month billed annually. It includes a monthly allowance of AI conversations and data rows, with extra rows charged on top, and Luzmo notes that some contracts scale on monthly active users instead. A free trial covers the full product.

Embedding uses server-side tokens with row-level security and multi-tenant access, so each customer sees only their own data. The single plan is easy to budget once you are above its floor; below it, there is nothing smaller to buy.

Luzmo pricing: From €1,995 a month, billed annually. Free trial.

Best embedded analytics for search inside an app

8. ThoughtSpot Embedded

ThoughtSpot Embedded pros:

  • Natural-language search and AI answers embedded in your product
  • A free Developer plan to build on: up to 10 users and 25M rows, free for a year
  • Each customer can get its own Org for isolation

ThoughtSpot Embedded cons:

  • Production pricing is through sales
  • Needs a ThoughtSpot instance, configured to trust your app's domains
  • A custom company URL is Enterprise only

ThoughtSpot's embedded product puts its search-first analytics inside your application through the Visual Embed SDK, with React components and REST APIs for the rest. It suits products whose users want to ask questions of the data rather than read a fixed dashboard.

You choose user-based or usage-based pricing on the Enterprise plan, which ThoughtSpot describes as "flexible pricing models aligned with your use case".

ThoughtSpot Embedded pricing: Developer plan free for a year (up to 10 users). Enterprise through sales.

Best embedded analytics for many tenants

9. GoodData

GoodData pros:

  • Workspace data filters per tenant and user data filters per person
  • White-labelling, per-customer themes and a custom domain
  • React SDK, web components, iframe and APIs

GoodData cons:

  • No published price
  • Annual contracts, with no downgrade before the term ends
  • Per-workspace pricing grows with your number of tenants

GoodData organises embedded analytics around workspaces, typically one per customer, with data filters that keep each tenant's data separate and further filters per user. Its Professional plan is priced per workspace on top of a platform fee, with unlimited users and data.

That model is predictable when you know your tenant count, and it scales with tenants rather than with viewers.

GoodData pricing: Not published. Professional is per workspace; Enterprise is custom.

Best embedded analytics in your own cloud account

10. Qrvey

Qrvey pros:

  • A flat rate covering unlimited tenants, users and dashboards
  • JavaScript widgets with no iframes
  • Full white-labelling, with no "powered by" badge

Qrvey cons:

  • Runs as Kubernetes containers in your own AWS, Azure or GCP account
  • No published price
  • Built specifically for SaaS companies

Qrvey is designed for SaaS companies that want analytics inside their product and the data to stay in their own cloud account. It deploys into that account, which gives you control over data residency and makes you responsible for running it.

Security applies at the row, column and feature level, and pricing is a flat rate rather than per user, with a perpetual-licence option.

Qrvey pricing: Not published. "Request Pricing".

Best embedded analytics for developer-owned components

11. Embeddable

Embeddable pros:

  • Components and data models live in your own code repository
  • Flat monthly pricing, not based on monthly active users, views or queries
  • White-labelled by default

Embeddable cons:

  • No published price
  • Developers define and push every model and component
  • Not usable without an engineering team

Embeddable describes itself as built for developers. You define data models and chart components in your own repository, push them with a command, and render them through a web component authenticated by a server-side token. Row-level security comes from a security context in that token.

Pricing is a flat monthly subscription with unlimited usage, across Startup, Scale-up and Enterprise tiers.

Embeddable pricing: Not published. "Speak with us".

Best embedded analytics SDK for .NET, Java or Node

12. Reveal

Reveal pros:

  • A native SDK with no iframes, for React, Angular, Blazor and Vue
  • Flat-rate pricing with unlimited users
  • White-labelling included in the subscription

Reveal cons:

  • You host the Reveal server SDK in your own backend
  • No published price
  • Needs developers on your stack

Reveal, from Infragistics, embeds through a native client SDK backed by a server SDK for ASP.NET, Node.js, NestJS or Spring Boot, which you run. Roles pass in a signed token and row-level security is enforced in the data layer.

It suits product teams that want analytics compiled into their own application on the stack they already use. A 30-day trial comes with the SDK download.

Reveal pricing: Not published. Flat rate, "Request a quote".

How each embedded analytics tool counts a viewer

The question that decides your bill as you grow is not the starting price. It is what the vendor counts.

ToolWhat you pay for as viewers grow
MammothNothing; viewers are never counted
Power BI EmbeddedServer capacity by the hour; customers need no licence
Tableau Embedded AnalyticsAnalytical impressions by external viewers
LookerA platform fee plus named users; how embedded users count is not stated
MetabaseEach embedded person with an account is a billed user
SisenseNot stated on the pricing page
LuzmoA platform fee plus usage; some contracts by monthly active user
ThoughtSpot EmbeddedUser-based or usage-based, your choice
GoodDataPer tenant workspace
QrveyFlat rate, unlimited users
EmbeddableFlat monthly, unlimited usage
RevealFlat rate, unlimited users

Using only published prices, here is a portal with 200 client users who each see only their own data, at monthly prices unless stated:

  • Mammoth: the Pro plan at $629/month, however many clients sign in. It includes 15 builders, and needs a developer to add the small endpoint that signs tokens.
  • Metabase: Pro at $575 plus 190 extra users at $12, or $2,855, for full interactivity through single sign-on. Guest embeds avoid the per-user charge but drop the interactive features.
  • Power BI Embedded: an A1 left running at $735.91, plus two publishers' Power BI Pro licences at $14 each, or $763.91, if the model fits in 3 GB of memory.
  • Luzmo: from €1,995 a month, billed annually only and published in euros, before usage.

All four need a developer for per-client data. The other eight do not publish enough to price the same portal.

What happened to Explo?

Explo was a popular embedded analytics tool until Omni announced it was acquiring it in October 2025. Omni's FAQ gave existing customers 12 months of full access before Explo is retired, a window that ends around October 2026. It is a reminder to ask any vendor what happens to your embeds if the product changes hands.

How to choose an embedded analytics tool

  • You need it in your own cloud account: Qrvey.
  • You have many tenants and predictable growth: GoodData's per-workspace model.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are embedded analytics tools?

Embedded analytics tools let you put live charts and dashboards inside your own product, portal or website, so the people using it read the numbers there instead of in a separate reporting tool. Most add row-level security, so each customer sees only their own data.

Which embedded analytics tools are free?

Metabase's open-source edition is free with unlimited users. ThoughtSpot Embedded has a Developer plan free for a year, up to 10 users. Mammoth includes embedding on its Free plan. Power BI Embedded offers free trial tokens for development only.

Do I need a developer to embed analytics?

For most of this list, yes: they use SDKs, components or a backend that signs tokens. Mammoth's public link and embed key need no developer, only a pasted snippet. A signed token for per-client data needs a small endpoint in your app.

How is embedded analytics priced?

By capacity (Power BI Embedded), by impression (Tableau), by seat (Metabase), by workspace (GoodData), by a platform fee plus usage (Luzmo), or at a flat rate (Qrvey, Embeddable, Reveal). Mammoth charges for the people who build dashboards and never for viewers.

What is the cheapest embedded analytics tool?

For published prices, Metabase's open-source edition and Mammoth's Free plan cost nothing. For per-customer data at scale, the answer depends on how the vendor counts viewers: a flat-rate or viewer-free model stays level as your customer base grows, while per-seat models grow with it.
