Someone typed

“match the amazon settlements to our quickbooks deposits, show each payout with settlement total, qbo amount, and status: Agrees when amounts match, Missing when unpaid, Short when qbo is low, Duplicate when a deposit repeats”

The agent read it as

match the Amazon settlements to our QuickBooks bank deposits, show each payout with settlement total, qbo amount, and status: Agrees when amounts match, Missing when unpaid, Short when qbo is low, Duplicate when a deposit repeats

How do you reconcile Amazon settlements with QuickBooks deposits?

Export settlements from Amazon Seller Central and bank deposits from QuickBooks. Mammoth normalizes payout IDs, sums repeated deposits, joins the files, and sets a status for each settlement. You can see the settlement total, the QuickBooks amount, and whether it agrees, is missing, short, or duplicated.

Amazon settlement reconciliation: questions

What export should you use from Amazon and QuickBooks?
Use the settlement export from Amazon Seller Central and the bank deposit export from QuickBooks. The workflow needs the exported files, not a live connection.
What happens when a settlement does not match a deposit?
Rows that do not match are kept and marked by status. A missing deposit stays marked Missing, a lower QuickBooks amount is marked Short, and a repeated deposit is marked Duplicate.
How do you change the matching rules?
You change the rules in words, such as how to treat payout IDs, repeated deposits, or amount checks. Mammoth then applies those steps to the next exported files.
