Merge monthly Excel or CSV files automatically, as they arrive

Add each month's file to one table and the template keeps it tidy: rows a re-sent file repeats are dropped, and every row gets its period. The merged table is current after every new file.

How do I merge Excel files that arrive every month?

Keep one table and add each new file to it. Files with the same column names stack, in any column order. In Mammoth the template then drops rows a re-sent file repeats and labels each row with its period, so the merged table is always current.

Merge Excel or CSV files: questions

Do the files need exactly the same columns?
The same names, in any order. A new column in a later file is added, and rows from earlier files leave it empty.
Does it update by itself?
Yes. The template becomes an ordinary workflow in Mammoth. When your data refreshes, from a connector, a scheduled pull or a new file, every step runs again and the result table updates.
Can I change the steps?
Every step is an ordinary Mammoth step you can open and edit. Mammoth remembers which steps came from the template, so an update never overwrites your changes.
Do my column names have to match?
No. You point the template at your columns once. Mammoth suggests a match for each one and asks only when it is unsure.
