Someone typed

“show every amex card transaction by employee and date, status Agrees when the receipt is attached and the transaction id only shows once; otherwise missing receipt or duplicate, and show the amount”

The agent read it as

show every amex card transaction by employee and date from Amex card transactions, status Agrees when the receipt is attached and the transaction id only shows once; otherwise missing receipt or duplicate, and show the amount

How do you turn card transactions into an expense report per employee?

Export this month’s Amex card transactions and load the file into the workflow. It groups the rows by employee and date, shows the amount, and marks each row as Agrees when the receipt is attached and the transaction id only appears once. If the receipt is missing or the transaction id appears more than once, it marks the row as Missing receipt or Duplicate.

Amex transaction flags: questions

Which export should you use?
Use the card transaction export from Amex for the month you want to report on. The workflow reads the exported file, not the live system.
What happens to rows that do not match the rule?
Rows that do not meet the rule are still shown. They are labeled with the status that applies, such as Missing receipt or Duplicate, so you can review them.
How do you change the rules?
You change the rule text, such as which fields to check, what counts as a match, and which status to show when a row does not fit. Then rerun the workflow on the exported file.
