Someone typed

“show employee by department and pay period from the gusto timesheets, with overtime pay and a Status that says "Agrees" when the department is in the departments lookup and rate exists, else what's off”

The agent read it as

show employee by department and pay period from the Gusto timesheets, joined to the Gusto employees for rate and the Gusto departments lookup, with overtime pay and a Status that says "Agrees" when the department is in the lookup and rate exists, else what's off

How do you build an overtime report from Gusto exports?

Export Gusto timesheets, employees, and departments, then load them into Mammoth. Join timesheets to employees for rate, check the department lookup, and sum overtime by pay period. Rows that do not match stay in the report with a status that shows what is missing.

Timesheet overtime report: questions

Which Gusto export should you use?
Use the timesheets export for hours, the employees export for pay rate details, and the departments export for the department lookup.
What happens to rows that do not match?
They stay in the report. The status shows what is off, for example that the department is missing from the lookup or the rate is missing.
How do you change the rules?
Edit the workflow steps in words. You can change the keys, the lookup rules, the fields you join on, and how the status is named.
