How do you calculate year over year growth by product line?

Export your monthly sales by product line from QuickBooks, with one row per month and product line. Compare each month this year to the same month last year, then calculate growth as the change divided by last year. Add a Status that says Agrees when growth is between -25% and 25%, and flag rows outside that range.

Monthly sales growth: questions

What export should you use?
Use a spreadsheet-style export with monthly sales by product line, including the month, product line, and sales amount for each row. You need the current year and the prior year so each month can be matched to the same month last year.
What happens to rows that do not match the rule?
They stay in the output, but they are marked with the status for their result. If a row does not fit the expected range, it is flagged so you can review it.
How do you change the rules?
Edit the rule in words, for example by changing the month pair, the year range, or the growth band used for the status. You can also change what the status says for rows that fall inside or outside the range.
