Someone typed

“show quickbooks vendors with this year’s total paid from quickbooks expenses, and a Status that says "Agrees" when they’re under $600 or have a tax id, else say missing tax id or not a 1099 vendor”

The agent read it as

show QuickBooks Vendors with this year’s total paid from QuickBooks Expenses, and a Status that says "Agrees" when they’re under $600 or have a tax id, else say missing tax id or not a 1099 vendor

How do you build a 1099 report?

Export your vendors and expenses from QuickBooks, then use the vendor key to match them. Sum this year’s expenses for each contractor, bring in the totals, and set a status based on the rules you choose.

QuickBooks vendor totals: questions

What QuickBooks export should you use?
Use a vendors export and an expenses export from QuickBooks. The vendors file gives you the contractor list, and the expenses file gives you the payments for this year.
What happens to rows that do not match?
Rows that do not match still stay in the result. They get a status that shows they are missing tax ID or are not a 1099 vendor, depending on the rule set you use.
How do you change the rules?
Edit the rule words in the workflow, such as the payment threshold and the tax ID condition. Then rerun the same exported files to update the status.
