Limits
Limits worth knowing
Better to know before you choose than after.
- PowerPoint slides are pictures
- Slides are pictures, not editable charts.
- Power BI and Tableau files are snapshots
- Dashboards only, author only, not on sample data, not for multi-table boards. A snapshot (up to 500,000 rows), not a live link. Some visuals have no equivalent.
- Per-viewer rows in an embed need Pro
- Per-viewer rows in a signed embed need Pro. Key mode refuses boards with row rules. Without the SDK, the frame has a fixed height. A deck or a report embeds as a dashboard: to show slides or pages, share the board by link or download it.
- Embeds show the published version
- Embeds show the published version; Q&A pages are left out.
- Embeds are open until you restrict them
- Open to any site until you restrict it. Up to 20 https sites per board.
- Embed usage records sites, not people
- Records the site only, never full URLs or viewers. Shows where it was loaded, not every place it is embedded.
