Google Analytics 4 connector
This page shows how to connect Mammoth to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and import its reporting data as a dataset. You sign in with Google and pick the property to read.
Which connectors you can add depends on your plan.
What you need before connecting GA4
- A Google account with access to the GA4 property you want to report on
Connect Google Analytics 4
- Open the Connectors launcher and click Google Analytics 4 (see Add a connector).
- In the chat, click the button to sign in with Google and allow Mammoth access.
- Pick the GA4 property (profile) to read.
Pick GA4 data and save a dataset
- In Tables, open a table and tick the columns you want. They gather in Your table.
- Click Preview 100 rows to check the data.
- Click Save as dataset, name it, and choose Daily or Manual under Keep it up to date.
Choose a GA4 update method that keeps corrections
GA4 keeps correcting the numbers of recent days after it first reports them. After you save, the dataset's Update method offers Replace all data, Add new rows only and Keep only the newest rows. If you pick a date as the Key column, each day is imported only once, so those corrections never arrive, and Mammoth warns you about this. Choose Replace all data to always have the corrected numbers.
Troubleshoot GA4
- Property not listed: check that the Google account you signed in with has access to the property in Google Analytics.
- Recent days don't match GA4: switch the update method to Replace all data (see above).
